Martial Arts Blog: Woman breaks 1400 year old sumo tradition

A middle-aged woman invaded a Japanese sumo ring breaking the 1400 year old custom. Since the influence of the Shintoism , the sumo ring is considered as a sacred arena, which are still forbidden for females. It was happened in the autumn grand tournament in Tokyo Japan. She was pulled down by one of the sumo wrestler, and a referee. The woman was taken to a nearby police station. She was later released.

    Why the hell does Sumo hates women? Why only Sumo have that problem, while there are other traditional styles out there in japan who wont complaint like them?
